At the age of 56, Suzz started having the pain and fairly quick to follow, swelling top and bottom of the 2MTPJ. She is not a runner, but she is a walker, which is actually a more frequent setting. One foot started and about 6 weeks later the opposite started almost identically. My regimen for her was no different than my patients. She started my protocol for calf stretching on one of my One Stretch prototypes and I knew she would comply. Compliance is a real problem in all of medicine in general, but particularly for something like calf stretching. But again, I knew she would do it perfectly. To be honest, who could fault noncompliance with the stretching, especially when it takes time and considering human nature of difficulty forming new, good habits. I am guilty as the next person.
